GETTING IN TOUCH

Please get in touch via this website, or by telephone, if you are interested in any item you see on this site. We are always happy to answer any questions you may have about an item, the artist, or condition, so do please get in contact.

VIEWING AND COLLECTION

We will warmly welcome anyone wishing to view items at our premises, and those who wish to collect items they have purchased. Please get in touch before you set out to arrange a day and time for your visit, as we only open by appointment, and ring the doorbell on arrival.

ARTWORK SIZE

Where the size of an item is shown, this is the size of the actual artwork, i.e. the canvas size, not including the frame.

The sizes shown for original works on paper, such as watercolours and drawings, reflect the visible size of the artwork, and do not include any mount or frame.

In the case of prints, the measurements shown are the size of the printed image area, and not the overall size of the print, and do not include any margin, mount or frame.

Overall frame sizes can be provided on request. All measurements are approximate, and are included for guidance only.

FRAMING

All our Lowry prints are sold framed, and ready to hang. Signed prints are framed to the highest possible standards - Fine Art Trade Guild Level 1 (Ultimate level) framing, previously known as 'Museum Framing'.

Unsigned limited edition prints are framed to Fine Art Trade Guild Level 2 'High Level' framing specifications, previously known as 'Conservation Framing'.

While most of our artworks come in brand new frames, we always retain good original frames whenever possible, in line with best framing practice. Existing labels are also preserved, as they can provide provenance for the art.

PRICES

Prices are quoted in UK Pounds Sterling, and are inclusive of all charges, except postage and packing. Any royalty which may be due under The Artist's Resale Right Regulations (see below) is included in prices quoted. Prices are subject to change without notice.

PAYMENT

We accept payment by bank transfer, bankers draft, cheque or cash, but please note that we do not accept debit or credit card payments.

UK 'BACS' bank transfers between banks that participate in the Faster Payments Service (FPS) typically only take a few seconds, while other UK transfers are usually processed within 24 hours. Cheque payments take several working days to clear.

Overseas bank transfers also take several days to complete, while cross-border money transfers are processed rather more quickly. Payments from overseas clients must be made in UK Pounds Sterling.

DELIVERY

Prices do not include the cost of packing and shipping. A delivery quotation can be provided once your requirements and the destination address are known.

We always pack items carefully and securely for maximum protection during transit. Unframed prints and unframed works on paper are usually sent flat, rather than rolled.

We aim to despatch items no later than two working days after your payment has cleared.

If you have any preferred day of the week for delivery, or cannot take delivery on certain days, please let us know, and we will try and coordinate our despatch date accordingly.

We will notify you by email when your consignment has been despatched, and will provide the expected delivery date, and any tracking information which may be available to enable you to check the progress of your delivery on the internet.

Note: We will ask you for your phone number (preferably mobile) prior to booking your consignment, as most carriers require a consignee's number which they often use to keep you informed about your delivery, or to assist them at the time of delivery.

Nevertheless, it is still advisable to check the status of your consignment online every morning after despatch to see when your parcel is out for delivery (48 hour parcels can occasionally be delivered within 24 hours, and sometimes parcels may be delivered on a Saturday or Sunday).

OVERSEAS DELIVERIES

Items may incur customs duties, taxes, storage charges or other fees on import into other countries. The payment of any such charges is the responsibility of the purchaser.

As well as your delivery address, we will need a delivery phone number, information about whether your delivery address is residential or commercial, plus your tax number/id if your purchase is a commercial one.

ARTIST'S RESALE RIGHT

Art market professionals, and all those who who deal in art, are responsible for paying art resale royalties. You can rest assured that living artists, and the beneficiaries of artists' estates, will receive any resale royalty they are due from qualifying Totteridge Gallery sales. Our prices include any royalty which may be payable. The royalty is also known as Droit de Suite.

Every effort is made to keep our websites up to date, but no responsibility can be accepted if a work shown as 'for sale' on the site is no longer available. Also please note that some other information may be incomplete, out of date, or incorrect. E&OE.
